“Hawk in the Grey Morning”
A project Quilt interpreting the poem of the same name in “Poems in the Waiting Room”.
Produced for the Needlework Archives, Southampton
The Quilt “was deemed to be an excellent interpretation of the poem and has won the Poetry in Stitches (Professional Section). The prize giving is at 2.0pm on Saturday 15th Ocober 2005 at the Knitting & Stitching Show, Alexandra Palace, London. where the quilt will be displayed.
It will subsequently be exhibited at the Knitting & Stitching Show Harrogate, the Menier Gallery, London from the 4th to 14th January 2006, the Forge Mill Needle Museum Redditch and the Voirrey Gallery in Cheshire. The final destination will be the RSPB or the Hawk Conservancy or another equivalent location.
